In a story by Journal News reporter Allan Drury, CAC chairman Nicholas Provenzo said new SEC rules on corporate accounting will erode the protections of limited liability and threaten CEO's ability to run their businesses. The Journal News is a Gannett Co. Inc. newspaper serving Westchester, Rockland and Putnam Counties in New York.

01/13/02: CAC Chairman Nicholas Provenzo comments on Buffalo, New York's image problems in the Buffalo News. In a story by Buffalo News reporter Anthony Violanti, CAC chairman & former Buffalonian Nick Provenzo said the city's bad luck image has more to do with its political problems and less to do with snow.

High taxes, poor management of city government and inefficient border crossings add to the troubles, Provenzo said.

"The perception is that these problems are endemic and unsolvable. Buffalo's problem is not a problem of image - it's a problem of substance. Buffalo cannot control its weather, but if and when it learns to manage the variables it can control, its reputation will change for the better."
